An indication has arrived regarding the future of Luka Jovic given that he is on a deal which is soon set to expire, according to a report.

Jovic was signed by Milan on the last day of the summer transfer window as something of an emergency purchase given that other options faded. He was available for free and arrived as a back-up but he has been a pleasant surprise, scoring nine goals this season so far.

According to this morning’s edition of Corriere dello Sera (via MilanNews), Stefano Pioli should start both Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud from the bench in tonight’s game aganst Torino.

In their place Noah Okafor should play on the left and Jovic at the centre of the Rossoneri attack. For the Serbian, the last two official matches of the season will be very important because Milan must decide whether or not to renew his contract which expires on June 30th.

However, the fact that he is expected to get the nod tonight over giving Giroud the chance to potentially get his 49th and 50th goals for the club before he says farewell shows that they are most likely planning for a future with the former Eintracht Frankfurt man.
