The Los Angeles Lakers are in the middle of their search for someone to take over as their new head coach. Former NBA head coach George Karl is not batting for the job, but he provided unsolicited advice for the team, albeit one that also included shots at LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
James and Davis caught some strays during a recent social media post by Karl, who isn’t exactly new to taking shots at others inside the basketball realm.
I’ll give the Lakers coaching search committee free advice today – LeBron isn’t a superstar anymore and AD will never be one. Now be sure to use those Truths when evaluating candidates and u might select someone u keep for longer than two szns!
Maybe LeBron James is no longer the player he used to be but at almost 40 years old and in his 21st season in the NBA, he still managed to prove that he remains one of the best players in the league alongside many others who are young enough to be his kid.
As for Davis, he’s already on the wrong side of 30 but he’s a bonafide star and a four-time All-NBA First Team member. He’s also a nine-time All-Star.
