Watch: UFC fighter wins after nailing ridiculous backflip move
Michel Pereira. Jason Silva-USA TODAY Sports

UFC fighter Michel Pereira nailed one of the most ridiculous moves in the Octagon that you will ever see.

Pereira beat Ihor Potieria in their fight at Farmasi Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, as part of the UFC 301 card on Saturday night.

Pereira got the win after knocking down Potieria with a strike early in the first round. After Potieria was on the mat, Pereira did an aerial move where he back-flipped and nailed Potieria in the face with a knee.

The stunning move allowed Pereira to gain top position and rain down some punches on Potieria. A few seconds later, Pereira was able to lock a guillotine choke that caused Potieria to tap out.

That was one heck of a move, and it wasn’t just done for flash — it helped Pereira score a first-round victory.
